What to Bring

Camp kicks off Sunday afternoon (July 7) as we get settled in and prepare for the evening “meet and greet “activities, which include an instructor concert, and a community dance. For those of you new to our camp, here are some basic expectations of  shared life when camping together on the grounds of Wallowa Elementary School:

Quiet hours 11 PM to 7 AM
No alcohol, drugs, or firearms
No camp fires on school grounds
Dogs on leash at all times – Clean up after dog

As dry camping is very rustic, you might appreciate a heads up as to some items to consider including in your packing:

Lawn chairs (armless is best for musicians), or camp stools
Folding table
Flashlight
Lantern
Mosquito spray or lotion
Sunscreen
Rain gear
Sleeping bag
Extra blankets
Propane cooking stove
Canopy or awning for weather protection
Garbage bags ( for storing items if it rains,or…for trash)
Drinking water storage container
Solar shower

Locker Rooms are Available with HOT WATER

If it is a HOT week (weather wise), bringing an electric fan to cool things off a bit in the classroom would be appreciated by overheated fellow students. Be sure to label your fan with your name.

Mike Burns, a local luthier will be on site, but still come prepared with your own extra strings, tuning device, and recording device.

Feel free to contact Camp Director, Robyn Burns if you have any questions!
