Mini-Musical Theatre Camp, 1st – 6th grade, half day

Come join your fellow young actors and singers for a cattle-drive!  “Home on the Range” is a hoot-hollerin’, lasso-twirling, hilarious original mini-musical by Amy Fairchild, that outlines all the different roles on a cattle drive and incorporates traditional American folk tunes with all new lyrics.  A magic desert lizard and his animal sidekicks manage to cast a spell to make the cows and the cowboys/cowgirls switch places.  They soon all realize that the tumbleweeds aren’t always greener on the other side of the range! Students will receive their roles, scripts, and songs about 8 weeks prior to camp to give them time to fully memorize their parts prior to arriving at camp.

Note:

Class participation: Children 12 years of age or younger, who are attending an adult class, will need to be accompanied by an adult chaperone who is not attending a separate class. In the event that the child is negatively affecting the learning process for the class, the child will be reassigned if possible  to a more developmentally age appropriate class.

Afternoon classes: Children ages 12 and under participating in morning only classes will need adult supervision for the afternoon from 11:30 am on. The playground is available, but adult supervision will need to be in place. Families are encouraged to collaborate together and help each other out with child supervision.
