Sasha Stolasz has been playing traditional music since she was four years old. Through Alasdair Fraser’s fiddle camps, she has had the opportunity to work with many phenomenal musicians and learn from their styles of playing. She is well versed in Scottish, Irish, Scandinavian, and Old Time styles of playing. She has spent this past year immersed in the traditional music scene in Edinburgh Scotland, and hopes to bring all that she has learned to Wallowa Fiddle Tunes Camp.

Celtic Fiddle, minimum 2 years of experience

In this class we will learn some hot jigs and reels as well as some gorgeous slow airs, marches and the likes. This class is going to be taught by ear, in a phrase by phrase format. As well as learning the tunes, we will experiment with ways that we can spice tunes up using ornaments, bowings and phrasings. At the end of the week you’ll have great new sets and new skills to take home!
