The Wallowa Valley Music Alliance continues the 17th season of Tunesmith Night, a showcase of original music. The concert features three songwriters sharing their original work in a round-robin format, at the historic Enterprise Odd Fellows Hall. The unique listening space provides an up-close and intimate experience for both audience and performers

This months showcase is Saturday, December 10 with David Henry, Steve Hines, and Kay Miracle. Doors open at 6:30pm with music starting at 7pm. Admission is $10. No food or drink service provided; BYO.

David Henry

David Henry has been touring and playing the Northwest and beyond for the last 15 years. Cutting his teeth with groups like Jonathan Warren and the Billy Goats as well as Andrew Sheppard Band, and The Pan Handles. He started his own project David Henry Band and has enjoyed writing and performing music for the last five years with some of the best musicians Idaho has to offer.  His songwriting is influenced heavily by the 60-70s folk scene as well as old school Texas and Idaho country. Melodies from the heart pushed by four chords and the truth. David will be releasing two new singles in January 2023.  More info at davidhenrymusic.com.

Kay Miracle

Kay Miracle’s musical journey began at an early age on the West coast performing with her sister as “The Miracle Sisters” at various State Fairs and TV shows.  As a senior, Kay won the “Best Talent Award” in the Miss Washington pageant and was awarded a college music scholarship for an original song she wrote and performed.  Later Kay toured overseas for 7 years with the PACAF (Pacific Air Force) and USO military tours entertaining troops stationed across the globe.

Kay Miracle has showcased her original songs at the “ SXSW Women“ TeXchromosome” showcases in Austin TX, as well as “Highway Woman” radio show while touring with  “Last Honky Tonk Train” songwriter series. “Kay & the Miracle Cure” released “Buck Naked Demos” which has received national airplay on WOS Radio, LadyLake Productions, Song Trader, Song Ladder, and selected for the Independent Music Awards. Steve Hines

Steve Hines writes and sings from a perspective “promoting the value of all humanity.” He says, “I have been allowed to write all my life. The writing done through music, being a micro part. What has been written, I do not see as mine.”
