Wallowa Valley Music Alliance Presents Classical Music Series at Odd Fellows Hall
105 NE 1st Street, Enterprise, Oregon
The Wallowa Valley Music Alliance is excited to present another series of Classical Music Concerts to be held at the historic Enterprise Odd Fellows Hall this spring. Thanks to funding from the Wallowa County Cultural Trust Coalition and the Roundhouse Foundation the WVMA is happy to have classical music back on their program roster. Project organizer Lisa Robertson was a founding board member of the Music Alliance, and has a long list of accomplishments in the classical music world, and currently serves as concertmaster of the Oregon East Symphony. “I’m grateful for the support from the Music Alliance for classical music,” says Robertson. “It’s always a pleasure to perform in the Oddfellows Hall since they have made many aesthetic and acoustical improvements.”
Three concerts of classical music, performed by small groups of players, are planned for Sundays, March 2, April 13, and June 15, at 2pm.
The March 2 concert will feature local classical players, including Robyn Burns, Alana Caine, Hayden Kissinger, Emily Knudsen, Liz Powers, Malakai Powers, Lisa Robertson, Greg Schulberg, and Marika Straw.
The second program, on April 13 features music for violin, cello and piano with Lisa Robertson (Enterprise), Ed Dixon (Walla Walla) and James Cook (Boise) plus “four-hands” compositions for piano performed by James Cook and Ruth Cook.
The final concert on June 15 will feature a professional brass quartet from Washington, Fourtissimo.
All concerts will be free of charge, with donations gratefully accepted to help cover expenses.
