Announcing a beginning string orchestra!
The Wallowa Valley Music Alliance is hosting a weekly ensemble for young string players (violin, viola, or cello) who have had at least a year of playing experience and want to work on reading printed music and playing in a group.
The orchestra will be led (alternetly) by Ivy Waite, Lisa Robertson, and Val Giesbrecht, and will meet on Fridays at 2pm, in the music room at Joseph Elementary. The sessions last about an hour. Use the upper parking lot, gym entrance door. The music room is the first door on the left. Music will be provided. At this point, you must have your own instrument, but let us know if you need one—we might be able to help.
