Announcing a beginning string orchestra!
The Wallowa Valley Music Alliance will be hosting a weekly ensemble for young string players (violin, viola, or cello) who have had at least a year of playing experience and want to work on reading printed music and playing in a group.
The orchestra will be led by Ivy Waite and will meet during the summer months on Mondays at 5:00 pm, in the music room at Joseph Elementary. The first meeting will be Monday, June 22, at 5:00 pm. The sessions will last about an hour. Use the upper parking lot, gym entrance door. The music room is the first door on the left. Music will be provided. At this point, you must have your own instrument, but let us know if you need one—we might be able to help.
