More on the songwriters below:
Rose Gerber
Based in Portland, Oregon, Rose Gerber is an American roots explorer, incorporating country and alt-rock into a seamless signature aesthetic, where cowboy boots meet Doc Martens. Her catalog includes an LP, several EPs and a bounty of singles with a new full length just released in September. She has shared the stage with acts like Emily Nenni, Big Richard and Margo Cilker. She’s performed at iconic NW festivals such as Pickathon, Treefort Music Festival, and Jackalope Jamboree. Her band was included in Willamette Week’s Best New Bands of 2026 and she won the 2026 Portland Folk Festival Songwriting Contest.
Heidi Muller
Heidi Muller is an award-winning songwriter, guitarist and mountain dulcimer player from the Pacific Northwest. She travels the country giving concerts featuring her original songs and Appalachian traditional tunes, and is known for her crystalline alto voice and comfortable stage presence. She has performed at the Kerrville Folk Festival, Tumbleweed Music Festival, on NPR’s Mountain Stage radio show, and has opened for Nanci Griffith, Bill Staines, Ramblin’ Jack Elliott, and Jean Ritchie, among others. Muller has taught at dulcimer festivals nationwide including Kentucky Music Week and the Berkeley Dulcimer Gathering. She has recorded nine CDs and published numerous dulcimer songbooks, had two songs published in Rise Again, sequel to the legendary Rise Up Singing songbook, and her song “Good Road” was the theme song of the Inland Folk show on Northwest Public Radio for 30 years. Muller makes her home in Joseph, Oregon with her partner Bob and four cats.
Leo Moon
Leo Moon is the solo incarnation of actor, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Brian Adrian Koch. California born and Oregon raised, Brian has been active in the Portland theater, film & music scene since arriving in 2000. He is a current and founding member of indie rock band Blitzen Trapper (2000 – present), and formerly of psychedelic folk duo Dead Lee (2017-2023). Appearing now as a solo acoustic performer, his minimal and haunting tunes are stripped down paeans to the glorious absurdities of life; harmonica spattered psalms to the void. Leo has most recently opened for English troubadour Wesley Stace & Minnesota’s Wild Horses as well as appearing at Shady Pines Festival in Sandy OR and at Portland Folk Festival in January 2025. He is preparing to release a full length solo album, The Fool.
