Get out the picnic basket and blanket - The Courthouse Concert Series begins Thursday, June 4 at the Gazebo on the lawn of the Wallowa County Courthouse in Enterprise. Brady Norman and his band kicks the season off, along with young singer songwriter Jacob Schoen. Farmers Market starts at 4:00 PM, music from 5:30 - 7:00 PM EVERY THURSDAY through August 27!!!!! Wallowa Valley Festival of Arts takes place June 5-7, and the Music Alliance is pleased to represent the musical arts with piano music by Denis Chericone (7-8 PM) and Gail Swart (9-10 PM) on Friday night at the Joseph Community Center. Saturday will feature Roger McGee with the beautiful and haunting sounds of the Native American flute from noon to 1:00 PM, and original songs by Rodd Ambroson, Janis Carper and Carolyn Lochert from 3:30 - 5:00 PM. The Music Alliance is pleased to present Texas songwriter Eric Taylor for a special appearance in an intimate concert at Ambroson's Studio in Joseph, Oregon on Wednesday, June 17.
Sing Out! magazaine says, "Eric Taylor has been one of the finest southern songwriters for more than three decades, and Hollywood Pocketknife, marked by plainspoken but authoritative singing, ranks among his finest work. One thing I've always loved about Eric's music is the way his songs are often from a character's perspective, completely, or at least seemingly, outside of himself. "

"Wednesday Drum" - African drumming at the Woodshed, 7:00 PM every Wednesday night. till ... This is a drop-in gathering of drummers with some previous experience, at $5.00 per session. Continuing instruction and free form rhythm circle. Drums are available if you don't have one. Call Jim Shelly for more details at 432-0445. The Woodshed is located at 705 S.
